KQ-150 Under Water Drill is a normal circulation drill of whirling drill with mud protection wall, which is easy to operate, convenient, and reliable. It is an ideal drilling machine for cast-in-place pile.

I. Structure and Working Principle of Drill

1. Drill Structure: 

KQ series under water drill includes a submersible electric machine, reducer and sealing unit, as well as supporting accessories, such as drill frame, winch, power distribution system, hydraulic system, drill pipe and drill bit.

As the power of drill, submersible motor is a kind of oil filled type with 25 # transformer oil inside to prevent outward leakage of internal transformer oil and external mud flowing into the equipment. The lower part of motor is equipped with sealing unit, with all connecting parts having a sealing ring (or sealing gasket); the motor spindle winding extension line adopts special treated cable joints to connect to the external power supply.

The reducer as a core part of the drill adopts planetary reduction gear.

The drill works in the mud and sand environment. In order to ensure a reliable sealing performance, the mechanical seal is adopted after special treatment to prevent oil leakage in the motor and reducer and prevent the mud and sand from entering into machine.

2. Operating Principles of Drill

The submersible power unit transmits power to the output shaft through reducer from submersible motor to drive the drill bit to cut rocks and soil. During the operation, the power unit enters into the hole bottom to directly drive drill bit to turn and cut. The drill pipe does not rotate, but only connects and transfers torsional resistance and mud. The residue will flow into the mud pit through mud ditch for normal circulation method.

III. Operation and Maintenance of Drill

1. After placing drill at the site, connect field cables (25-35 square meters), start oil pump, lift drill frame, and fix the drill frame with bolts.

2. Operate the multi-way valve to move and turn, connect the drill pipe after alignment, and connect the power head and drill bit for operation.

3. When connecting the drill pipe, apply the pin after aligning drill pipe and joints, and fix the bolt.

4. Operate the hydraulic handle first slowly and then quickly. Fast operation will damage components and raise dangerous accidents.

5. If the machine is out of service for a long time, the cylinder should be withdrawn.

6. The drilling machine should be maintained when it has accumulated 5000 meters.

IV. Safety Operation Procedures

1. The drill operator must be trained, and familiar with the technical characteristics, requirements, operating mechanism and safe operation procedures. It is strictly prohibited to operate after drinking, or nap during working.

2. Check whether the clutch and brake of each winch is flexible and reliable, whether the steel wire rope is broken; replace the failed winch in time. The machine can be started after being confirmed to be in good condition.

3. Operators should make clear to the successor the working conditions. The equipment should be operated after dealing with abnormalities. When disassembling and assembling drill pipe, operator should concentrate and remove foreign matters on the joint of drill pipe in time.

The distributor box is the supporting equipment of drill, which is suitable for 380V rated voltage, 50 HZ frequency and three-phase AC power supply network.
